Drag Industry Variety Awards 2018

The 2018 DIVAs took place in the Cocktail Bar of the Stonewall Hotel on Saturday night. The evening was hosted by Charisma Belle and was a smaller event than many previous years ceremonies but were still full of glitz, glamour and campery that the DIVAs are renown for.

On offer this year was Belle of the Ball and the three major awards, Rising Star, Show of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. The Hall of Fame inductee was longtime friend of SDR, the ever-fabulous, Candy Box.

Sydney Drag Royalty are thrilled to report that every award on offer on the night, was won by one of our incredibly talented drag queens. Belle of the Ball went to the beautiful Carmen Geddit for her gorgeous intricate gold cocktail dress by Kirsten Damned. Pomara Fifth won Rising Star and Show of the Year went to ARQcrylic, produced by Charisma Belle and staring Coco Jumbo and Sia Tequila. The highest honour at every DIVAs, the Entertainer of the Year award, went to our very own Minnie Cooper, who has now set a new record, being the only queen ever to have won this coveted award four times.
